Siesta Key hosts hire us for Airbnb and VRBO photos starting at $250 for homes up to 1,000 sq ft and $300 for 1,001 to 2,000 sq ft. You get a 24-hour turnaround and an extended license for booking platforms. We are Tampa-based and travel to Sarasota County; the fee is quoted when you book.

Two bridges, one island

Siesta Key is a barrier island of roughly eight miles in Sarasota County, reached by two bridges: Siesta Drive on the north side and Stickney Point Road toward the south. The north end is the village, with its shops and restaurants, and the south end has the quieter residential streets. Siesta Beach is known for its fine quartz sand, which gives photos a bright, white foreground that we have to expose carefully so it does not clip.

Our crew goes where the rental is, so tell us which side your property is on. A cottage a block from the village and a canal house on Little Sarasota Bay are very different shoots.

What we do differently on Siesta Key

The sand is the first technical issue. Bright quartz sand and white buildings can push the exposure of an exterior flat. We bracket and blend so you keep texture in the sand, color in the sky and detail in the building.

The second is orientation. The Gulf is to the west, so beachfront houses and condos face sunset. Bay-side houses face east and catch early light on the water. We shoot a west-facing exterior late in the day and an east-facing one in the morning.

That patio comes from our Sarasota Airbnb home project, where the outdoor dining area and a hammock chair in the yard were as important as the bedrooms.

Village cottages, bay-side homes and beach condos

Three kinds of rental make up most of the calls we expect from Siesta Key.

Village-area cottages and small units. The walk to shops and restaurants is part of the appeal, so we photograph the front approach and the street feel, not only the rooms. Small spaces get shot wide from the corners.

Bay-side houses. These face Little Sarasota Bay or a canal, and the back of the house is often the best frame. Docks, lifts and patios get their own shots. Morning is the time for it, because the sun is behind you.

Beach-side condos and houses. The sunset view is the headline. We shoot the interior while daylight is even, then the balcony and the building near dusk, when a real twilight set ($200 for five photos) gives the sky some color.

Rentals with a vacation checklist

Siesta Key guests tend to book for the beach, so your photos should answer beach questions quickly. Where do the chairs and umbrellas live? Is there an outdoor shower or a rinse spot? How close is the walk? We take a few frames of these, usually after the main rooms are done.

A mix of formats helps. We can add a social media reel for $175 for social feeds, and a 2D floor plan for $75 so guests can see how bedrooms are split. Both pair well with the standard rental photo set.

Working around a busy calendar

Siesta Key rentals are often booked well ahead, which leaves narrow windows. Send us the dates you have open, and we will confirm one that gives us the light we need. If the house is occupied on the day, tell us ahead of time so guests are out of the way or we can keep the shoot to the common areas. For the best results, the property should be clean and staged the way a guest would find it on arrival.

For a quick start, send the address, bedroom count and approximate square footage when you contact us, plus any access codes for gates or lockboxes. That is enough for a price and a time.

If you are selling instead

Many Siesta Key owners rent for a few seasons and then sell. The same visit can be scoped as a listing shoot: Basic is from $190 and Standard from $325. Our Sarasota real estate photographer page describes the packages. Longboat Key, just north, has its own rental photography page.
