South Tampa neighborhood by neighborhood

South Tampa is the peninsula between Hillsborough Bay and Old Tampa Bay, and each part of it photographs differently. This is what we plan for in the neighborhoods we shoot most.

Hyde Park

A historic district close to downtown with homes from the early 20th century. The challenge is often mixed light: porches, older windows and woodwork that photograph very differently from the rest of the room. We bracket exposures so the porch stays readable and the interior does not turn orange.

Bayshore Boulevard and Bayshore Beautiful

Houses facing Hillsborough Bay are sold on the view as much as the floor plan, so we time the exterior and the drone photos for the best light on the water side. The Blue Sky Guarantee on exteriors covers the sky, so a dull day does not decide how the front of the house looks.

Davis Islands

Man-made islands in Hillsborough Bay, reached by bridge. Many homes sit on the water, and an aerial photo that shows the seawall, dock and open water does more selling than another living room shot.

Palma Ceia

Established streets, mature trees and a mix of renovated older homes and new construction. These homes suit Standard or Premium, since the floor plan and social media reel help buyers understand the flow.

Beach Park

On the Old Tampa Bay side of South Tampa. Our Beach Park home project was a large two-story house with a double-height foyer, built-in library wall and upstairs sitting rooms. That kind of volume needs careful framing so the staircase and ceiling height read correctly.

Sunset Park

A lot of custom-built and newly built homes. The Sunset Park home had a three-car garage, an open living and kitchen space with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a navy-and-gold kitchen island that needed accurate color. An aerial photo showed how close the house sits to the water.

Townhomes, bungalows and new builds

The type of house matters more than the street. A few rules of thumb from jobs we have actually done:

  • Townhomes are narrow and often dark at the back. We shoot to the windows and keep verticals straight so a hallway does not look like a tunnel. See the South Tampa townhome gallery, which includes a front exterior with dual garages and mature shade trees.

  • Older bungalows and cottages have small rooms. A wide lens helps, but too wide distorts the space, so we pick our spots carefully and let the 2D floor plan carry the layout.

  • New builds are about scale and finishes: kitchens, primary bathrooms, outdoor living. Virtual twilight on the front exterior is worth the $15 per image when the sky is bland.

Waterfront and rental owners

A fair number of South Tampa owners rent out part of the year, and some run short-term rentals. Airbnb and VRBO photography is a separate service at $250 for up to 1,000 sq ft, $300 up to 2,000 sq ft and $400 up to 3,000 sq ft, with an extended usage license for rental platforms. Check your city’s short-term-rental rules before listing. More on that is on the Airbnb and VRBO page.

How a South Tampa shoot goes

We walk the property with you or the agent first, shoot the interior room by room, then the exterior, and fly the drone last while the light is still good. Most houses are done in a couple of hours, though bigger homes take longer. We send the edited gallery within 24 hours, and the floor plan and property website are delivered with it.

If you want an evening image, real twilight photography is for five photos, and virtual twilight is per image. On a bayfront or island lot, a dusk exterior with lights on is often the photo that gets clicked first. Our twilight photography page shows both options.

Citywide context

South Tampa is one piece of our wider Tampa real estate photography coverage, which also includes Carrollwood, Brandon, Westchase and downtown. Across the water, we serve St. Petersburg.

Questions about South Tampa shoots

Do you charge a travel fee in South Tampa?

No. Travel is calculated round trip from South Tampa and the first 30 miles are free, so Hyde Park, Davis Islands, Palma Ceia, Beach Park and Sunset Park are all well inside it.

How soon can I get a South Tampa listing photographed?

Book online or call (813) 415-6349 and we will offer the next open slot. Edited photos come back within 24 hours of the shoot.

Is drone photography allowed over South Tampa homes?

Our drone work is flown by FAA Part 107 certified pilots, and aerial photos are in every package. We plan each flight around the property and the surrounding area, and we will tell you if a location limits what we can capture.

Do you photograph condos on Davis Islands or along the bay?

Yes. Condo size follows the same square-footage pricing. Interiors are the focus, with a 2D floor plan included so buyers see the layout before the photos.

What should I do to get my house ready?

Clear the counters, turn on every light, open blinds and put cars away. Our home prep guide has the full list.
