South Tampa is our home base, so these are the listings we shoot most. A bungalow in Palma Ceia, a townhome near Bayshore and a canal-front house in Beach Park are three different jobs. We charge by square footage, from $190 for Basic and $325 for Standard, with aerial photos and a 24-hour turnaround on every package.

What “South Tampa” means for a listing

South Tampa is the peninsula south of roughly Kennedy Boulevard, with Tampa Bay on the east and south and Old Tampa Bay on the west. It is not one neighbourhood. Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, Davis Islands, Beach Park, Sunset Park and Ballast Point all sit inside it, and each has its own house style and its own buyers. Agents who describe the street, not just the zip code, sell faster, and the photos should do the same.

Bungalows: older bones, tight rooms

Many South Tampa bungalows have been renovated with open kitchens, so the shoot is a mix of period detail and new finishes. We keep verticals straight, because old walls and ceilings can lean, and we look for the angle that shows the best flow between rooms instead of one wide shot that makes everything look far apart. Mature oaks cast heavy shade over many lots, so the exterior needs careful exposure to keep the house from looking dark. Front porch, original floors, and the back deck or yard get dedicated frames.

Townhomes: sell the lifestyle in a small footprint

A townhome has fewer rooms and fewer exterior options, so every frame counts. In our South Tampa townhome shoot we used the front elevation with dual garages, a bright open living and kitchen space with a staircase, a bedroom, a bathroom, a fenced backyard with a wood deck, and an aerial that places the home in the neighbourhood with the downtown skyline behind it. That set is on the South Tampa Townhome project page.

For townhomes we recommend the Standard package (from $325, 45 photos) because it adds community photos, touch-ups and item removal, and a Zillow 3D tour or social media reel (your choice). We also suggest a floor plan, since buyers like to see the stair and bedroom layout.

Waterfront: canals, docks and the west side of the peninsula

Beach Park is known for larger lots and true waterfront options. Interior shots of a canal-front home should show the water through the windows without losing the room. In our Beach Park shoot, the dining room had tall windows facing a canal with docks and boats, and the entry hall had a large staircase and hardwood floors. See it on the Beach Park Home project page.

On waterfront shoots we plan the exterior first. The dock, the seawall, the lift and the back of the house are what the buyer wants to see, and the drone shows lot depth and water access better than ground photos can. Sunset Park, nearer the bay, gives the same kind of view of the shoreline from above; the aerial on our Sunset Park project is a good reference.

Light and timing in South Tampa

Tree cover in Palma Ceia and Hyde Park means the best time for an exterior is often mid-morning, before the sun gets high. West-facing waterfront homes look better in the afternoon. We tell you which window we prefer when you book. For waterfront homes, a twilight image is worth it: virtual twilight is $15 per image, and real twilight is 5 photos for $200. Premium and Deluxe packages include twilight images.

How to prepare the home

  • Park cars off the street and out of the driveway.

  • Pick up toys, pet bowls and bins. Pet items are a common miss.

  • Open blinds and turn on lights. We handle the rest.

  • Stage outdoor furniture on docks and decks, with pillows tucked straight.
