Stone-clad contemporary villa with a large pool in Urla, Izmir, Turkiye. Twilight photography with daytime exterior and drone views from a 2-hour session.
A pool, a lit-up stone facade and a lot with room to spare
This was a two-hour twilight photography job on a contemporary Mediterranean-style villa in Urla, Izmir, Turkiye. The set also includes daytime exterior frames and drone photos, so the evening look and the layout of the grounds sit side by side.
From above, the lot is the story: a long pool beside the house, a basketball court, a lawn planted with rows of young trees, and a stone wall running around the boundary with pine-covered hillside beyond it. At ground level the house is two storeys of stone and glass with an upstairs balcony. In the dusk frame, uplights warm the stone and the pool glows blue under two tall palms. The daytime pool deck is pale stone with grey sun loungers, and a stepping-slab path crosses the water toward an infinity edge.
Why the evening frames carry this one
A villa this large with a pool this long reads flat at midday, so the twilight exposure does most of the work: window glow inside, lit stone outside, deep blue sky behind the palms. We paired those with daytime frames of the same angles so a viewer can compare how the house looks in each light. The drone pass was needed to explain the plot, since the court, the garden and the pool are impossible to relate from the ground. Our twilight photography page covers how we plan these shoots.
