Mid-century home in Tampa, FL, 2,936 sq ft, photographed in two hours: cul-de-sac exterior, beamed living room with brick fireplace, screened pool.
Exposed beams and a brick fireplace on a Carrollwood cul-de-sac
Scott Molnar's 2,936 sq ft house in Tampa sits at the end of a cul-de-sac, on a circular drive, under tall trees. We spent two hours on it. The front frame shows a low roofline with a brick chimney and a mailbox at the curb; a second view from above takes in the loop of the driveway, the pool enclosure and the dense tree line behind the lot.
The living room is the strongest interior: a vaulted ceiling with wood beams, a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace with a fire lit, built-in shelves and a gray sofa with two green armchairs on a geometric rug. Elsewhere, the primary bath has a soaking tub with brass fixtures and tile in warm tan, and the pool sits inside a large screen enclosure with a brick paver deck.
Keeping the period details honest
Mid-century houses live on their materials: brick, wood paneling, brass, hex tile. Those read best in even light, so we hold the highlights down on the fireplace wall and keep the windows from overpowering the beams. The pool area is shot from the corner of the enclosure so the full screen cage, the deck and the wood-clad rear of the house land in one frame. Interested in a Tampa listing shoot?
